Tulipsprings is a professionally designed, built, and maintained cross country eventing site in Kennewick, WA.
We are on the DRY SIDE of Washington State, so we can start earlier and stay open later in the year, extending the schooling and competition season in the Pacific Northwest.
Since 2008 Tulipsprings has hosted clinics with some of the biggest stars in eventing, including Ian Stark, Mark Phillips, Lucinda Green, Jimmy Wofford, Buck Davidson, Leslie Law, and our fan-favorite Eric Smiley. We also hosted a few fun shows at the farm.
After the pandemic, Tulipsprings refocused on our primary calling in the Pacific Northwest, which is to enable very early spring cross country schooling for USEA Area VII. Because of our dry climate and natural sandy footing, we can offer schooling as early as February in most years. Weekends in March through May are usually full with trainers and their clients enjoying a relaxed and fun time while building confidence to be ready for the competition season.
Professional course builders come to Tulipsprings a few times per year to maintain jumps and to build new and interesting challenges at all levels, Starter through Prelim, plus some Intermediate options. Our Starter course is particularly helpful to beginner horses and riders, as many jumps are “architecturally correct” meaning there are coops, roll tops, etc. built exactly like their counterparts at the higher levels. Not just a loop of logs!
So come to Tulipsprings for a positive schooling experience and return often for new challenges. See you in the Spring!

We have professionally designed courses at Starter through Preliminary levels in a location central to both Area VII and Area IX. And for eventers in California, we are on your path to Rebecca Farm for stop-overs.
The courses are designed by Mogie Bearden-Muller with consultation from Captain Mark Phillips. They are initially designed to be inviting at each level, so they are appropriate for move-up or confidence building at that level.
Courses are built by Bert Wood and his team, so they are correct and they will be great schooling for competitions on other courses he builds at Woodside, Galway, and Rebecca Farms.
Our footing, which is irrigated turf on sand, is naturally good from February through November, providing an escape from the west coast rain!
