What a unique and elite opportunity to have Captain Mark Phillips teach
in Area VII!!
Since 1992, Captain Mark Phillips has coached the US Team to many Olympic and World
medals. He has just turned the US Team reins over to David O'Connor so now he has time
to teach the rest of us!
Before his success as the US Team coach, Mark Phillips won team Gold at the Olympics
riding for the UK, he won World and European championships, and also won Badminton four
times and Burghley once. He also represented the UK in showjumping on two winning
Nation's Cup Teams.
In addition to his riding and coaching success, Captain Mark is an international course
designer including courses for the European Championships, the Pan Am Games, and of
course, he was the consulting designer of Tulipsprings in 2007.
Mark came to Tulipsprings in October, 2012 and gave his first clinic since retiring from
Olympic coaching. It was very well attended and Mark received rave reviews from riders
at all levels.

Prerequisites for each level:
To ride at a level, horse and rider must have some experience schooling cross country at that level. This is to assure that the groups are compatible and that everyone has a positive experience. Please indicate on your entry form if you are ready to move up or inclined to move down a level, in case that is necessary to form groups.
Group size: 4-5 riders per group
Ride times: 1.5 - 2 hours per day for 2 days

www.tulipsprings.com a few days before the
clinic, and riders will be emailed.) Ride times will be shorter or longer depending on
group size.
$395 including stabling
Auditors $20/day
Dogs $50/weekend
Saturday will be stadium jumping on turf. Sunday will be cross country. Cross country obstacles include full courses through Prelim, plus several Intermediate efforts. All the standard fun is represented: water, ditches, banks, coffins, corners, etc. And : The Atomic Pit with new footing!!
